About Monika


After years of telling her doctor that she feels week and very low in energy, still an adolescent, Monika almost gave up on health and vitality. Nobody was able to diagnose her with a simple iron deficiency.

She discovered her passion for Nutrition when she moved with her Husband from Switzerland to Florida, where she worked for a medicinal tea company.

It was also in North America where Monika was introduced to steak! Sometimes she jokes that steak saved her life! Actually the truth is not that far off. As soon as she started to eat the steaks and hamburgers, she realized that she’s actually getting better. The high bioavailability of iron in beef cured her iron deficiency in a matter of 2-3 months. This started her curiosity in whole foods and its health benefits.

While working for the medicinal tea company in marketing and design, Monika met lots of Fitness professionals that sparked her interest in the health and fitness industry. So she started out studying nutrition when she was still pregnant with her first child in 2000. After competing in the EAS challenge in 2002 and placing with her husband in the first 6% she was hooked on fitness. Working in her field and helping others make big and healthy changes, kept her ecstatic.

Monika holds a B.S. in Business and Administration, in English and in French from the Business School of Lucerne, Switzerland.  She is a Cert. Nutrition Specialist, Cert. Trainer, Cert. Fitness Specialist, she also holds a certificate in Adult, Child and Infant CPR.

Monika is also a big fan of Juicing and its therapeutic advantages. In early 2010 she has finished her first e-Book about juice fasting for health and prevention.

Wanting to reach more people and hook them on whole food and juicing, she started this blog. Read about her personal story and transformation.
